Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detailed review and analysis of evidence and set/agree case strategy with clients in line with KYO or generic strategies and work type process stages.
  • •Handle litigated files on a non-delegated basis, ensure client satisfaction, and achieve client and internal KPIs with accurate and timely MI.
  • •Report to insurer clients throughout the claim lifetime, liaise with relevant parties to carry out investigations, and comply with procedural and investigative deadlines.
  • •Protect the client’s position by ensuring compliance with the court timetable, using procedural tactical advantages where possible, and undertake advocacy when required and cost-effective.
  • •Maintain case management systems from opening to closure, adhere to file management policies, and comply with SRA Standards & Regulations while staying commercially aware.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in civil litigation claims handling as a legal file handler or suitably qualified (ILEX, LPC etc.).
  • •Experience handling linked and organised fraud is desirable, and experience of RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case load is required.
  • •Understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, including indemnity principles, plus working knowledge of the CPR.
  • •Strong advocacy and client care skills, with accurate evidence work to client guidelines.
  • •Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and manage time recording and billing systems.
