Job Summary

Process customer transactions with speed and accuracy while protecting bank assets. Set up and balance the teller station, handle cash and negotiable items, record monetary instrument sales, and follow limits and bank policies to ensure safety and soundness. Assist with balancing vault and related equipment, scan documents, make hold and check-cashing decisions, and cross-sell bank products and services, including basic account openings when cross-trained.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive and pay out cash and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station, including assisting with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machine as assigned.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Follow limits and bank policies/procedures to protect customer accounts and support bank safety and soundness.
•Cross-sell bank products and services, cross-train to open basic new consumer accounts, and complete required BSA/AML and compliance training.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (equivalent to four years high school or GED).
•12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Ability to communicate effectively with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings.
•Basic math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers and perform money-related calculations.
•Ability to carry out simple multi-step instructions and use common sense judgment with limited-variable, standardized situations.
