Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and optimize the USCENTCOM Zero Trust transition roadmap, aligned to DoD milestones and Combatant Command priorities.
  • •Coordinate and synchronize efforts across Identity, Endpoint, Network, Cloud, and Data Security teams to drive unified Zero Trust maturity.
  • •Prepare and deliver executive briefings, visual dashboards, and performance metrics for General/Flag Officers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • •Identify capability gaps across Zero Trust pillars and support procurement requirements and acquisition package tracking through the contracting lifecycle.
  • •Interpret executive orders, DoD and Joint Staff policies/cybersecurity guidance and translate them into USCENTCOM J6 operational activities, including developing/updating Zero Trust policies and technical guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong familiarity with Executive Order 14028, DoD Zero Trust Strategy, and NIST SP 800-207, including the DoD Zero Trust pillars and target/advanced activities.
  • •Previous experience operating within a Combatant Command (preferably USCENTCOM) or Joint Staff environment.
  • •Proven ability to synthesize complex technical architectures into strategic, actionable briefs for senior military leadership.
  • •Demonstrated expertise of operational technologies supporting Zero Trust dependencies, including ICAM/IdAM frameworks and endpoint/network/security tools.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years’ experience, or 8+ years managing/supporting complex IT/cybersecurity programs in government/defense (preferably within USCENTCOM AOR).
