Job Summary

Own the end-to-end technical development of large aircraft—from concept and detailed design through build, flight test, transition to production, and sustainment. Lead technical and programmatic execution for advanced air vehicle systems, set technical vision, and assemble multidisciplinary teams and SME partners. Drive requirements, trades, optimization, and risk management while coordinating fabrication and test efforts, including support for remotely deployed operations and guidance to senior leadership on resourcing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical and programmatic execution of new and existing air vehicle systems design, fabrication, test, productization, and sustainment.
•Own program technical/program success by establishing technical vision, assembling internal/external SME teams, and communicating direction.
•Set up trades for early conceptual design and partner with technical SMEs and Business Development to address DOD capability gaps.
•Manage detailed design of systems and subsystems, including requirements development, trades/optimization, and risk management to meet performance, schedule, cost, and risk targets.
•Coordinate prototype and low-rate production fabrication and subsystem/system-level test efforts, including support for remotely deployed operations.

Travel: High travel

Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Deep understanding of unmanned aircraft at and above Group 3 class.
•Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software engineering, or equivalent experience.
•Experience in a senior role leading air vehicle programs from initial concept through test and delivery to customers.
•Experience driving strategic direction in competitive landscapes and solving complex system optimization challenges under tight constraints.
•Experience working on mission critical DOD systems and troubleshooting/analyzing remotely deployed systems.
