Key Responsibilities

  • •Shape the technical direction for detection and response, defining what good looks like and building a roadmap and tooling case.
  • •Build detection engineering end to end across Faire’s enterprise environment, including telemetry pipelines, detection content, alert routing, and enrichment.
  • •Translate adversary behavior into detections, hunts, and tabletop exercises to validate coverage.
  • •Own detections and data pipelines written as IaaC (detection and data pipeline automation).
  • •Automate triage, enrichment, and response to increase alert coverage without proportional growth in analyst time.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 174,500 - 240,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Deep hands-on experience in detection engineering, incident response, or security operations, with a track record of building capability.
  • •Expertise across corporate attack surfaces including identity providers/SSO, endpoint (EDR) telemetry, email security, SaaS logs, device management signals, and corporate network access.
  • •Strong proficiency in Python and query languages such as SQL.
  • •Ability to build and maintain detection-as-code pipelines (detection-as-code), not just specify them.
  • •Practical experience with SIEM, EDR, and security analytics platforms, plus investigative depth across endpoints and cloud/SaaS environments.
