Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
  • •Develop construction documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
  • •Perform and review electrical engineering calculations, analyses, and technical studies; coordinate designs with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, contractors, and owners.
  • •Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, and support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • •Conduct site investigations and construction observation activities; review RFIs, shop drawings, and contractor submittals, and support quality assurance and quality control; participate in client meetings and proposal/pursuit activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience designing building systems.
  • •Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  • •Experience designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and low-voltage systems for commercial or institutional facilities.
  • •Knowledge of applicable building codes, National Electrical Code (NEC), energy codes, and industry standards.
