Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance on EPA-regulated extractive gas analyzers, air-cooled motors, rotary kiln natural gas firing equipment, and pulverized coal processing/dosing systems.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical/instrumentation systems including PLC control, MCC equipment, AC VFDs, DC VSDs, and plant fiber optic/copper Ethernet and IP video networks.
  • •Calibrate and provide documentation for weigh scales, weigh feeders, temperature/pressure transducers, and opacity monitoring equipment for environmental compliance.
  • •Collaborate on design and installation for motor control equipment, networking equipment, power-saving technologies, process efficiency improvements, and condition monitoring systems; respond to plant needs and provide electrical support.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
  • •Associate’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience working in a similar environment or on similar equipment.
  • •Proficiency with computers and standard computer programs.
  • •Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • •Preferred experience with electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance; preferred knowledge of contactors and starters, motors/motor controls, PLCs, and power distribution.
