Job Function: Industrial, Process & Manufacturing Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead mold design and development from concept through production release across VF footwear brands using a design-for-quality approach.
  • •Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure footwear designs are functional, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with brand/aesthetic requirements.
  • •Collaborate with tooling vendors and manufacturing partners to meet quality, cost, lead-time, and sustainability targets.
  • •Provide technical expertise in mold engineering and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection and compression) and support material selections via cross-functional teams.
  • •Execute mold trials, testing, and validation with factories and Quality teams; support sustainability objectives through low-impact tooling methods.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working with mold vendors and manufacturing partners across Asia (e.g., China, Vietnam, Indonesia).
  • •Experience in footwear categories (performance, lifestyle, or outdoor) and familiarity with Sourcing and Supply Chain organizations is beneficial.
  • •Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • •Subject-matter expertise in footwear mold/tooling engineering or component development (ideally within global brands, OEM factories, or supply chain).
  • •Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
