Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform general accounting for the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial statements.
  • •Support corporate tax filings including size-based tax, consumption tax, and business premises tax in collaboration with tax firms.
  • •Investigate account balance variances and help explain differences between actual results and forecasts.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Business, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit) and review contracts/transactions for proper accounting treatment.
  • •Lead process improvements, documentation, and SOX-compliant internal control processes; support audits and ad hoc special projects.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of experience in financial accounting.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
  • •Accounting qualifications including USCPA and/or JCPA, plus Bookkeeping Level 1 (required) and Bookkeeping Level 2 (must).
  • •Strong knowledge of J-GAAP and US GAAP/IFRS, and experience with internal controls (SOX).
  • •Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (JLPT N1 or higher) and strong analytical/problem-solving ability.
