Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide age-specific, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process across the Labour and Delivery Unit.
  • •Perform patient assessment and continual critical care assessment of patients and families; involve them in the plan of care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • •Document data in medical records and ensure availability and maintenance of supplies/equipment; participate in JCIA mandatory education and unit committees/projects.
  • •Contribute to unit goals and safe patient environment; perform duties related to narcotics/safe drug administration and maintain clinical competencies.
  • •Perform unit-specific nursing interventions such as Apgar scoring, bladder catheterization during labour, assisting in emergent cesarean birth, and neonatal resuscitation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in nursing (minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration) or Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration) and Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
  • •Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
  • •Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Labour and Delivery Unit.
  • •Must hold a minimum of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or others according to the scope of practice.
