Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and report on project cost budgets and track/manage/report project expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
  • •Develop, issue, and maintain Project WBS and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for defined scopes, ensuring accurate cost allocation to the approved WBS.
  • •Review, analyse, and report actual and forecasted project costs against the approved budget, including updates to cost forecasts.
  • •Support budget development by liaising with other Project Controls disciplines, procurement, finance, and time-capture functions to ensure accurate capture of procurement, materials, subcontract, and labour manhour costs.
  • •Develop and issue cost change orders/variations, facilitate communication of cost and schedule impacts, monitor contingency drawdown, and coordinate project cost close-out.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent via vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • •Relevant cost experience in project cost budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
  • •Proficient knowledge of cost software and cost management principles, including budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow.
  • •Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities, including earned value and variance/trending analysis.
  • •Understanding and experience with change management, cost and schedule processes, and risk/management practices.
