Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and MHE during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and perform preventive/corrective maintenance per Army TMs and regulations.
  • •Repair and adjust major vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics) and service MHE (e.g., forklifts, cranes, loaders).
  • •Identify unserviceable/non-repairable equipment and prepare documentation for disposition and record inspections/maintenance using Army-approved forms and systems.
  • •Follow OSHA, Army, company safety standards and environmental/HAZMAT requirements while maintaining work orders, parts requisitions, and job completion records.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may substitute.
  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience with tactical vehicles, combat systems, or MHE is strongly preferred.
  • •Proficiency diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including reading Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain CAC and Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility; must meet licensing, driver’s license, and background/drug-testing requirements.
