Job Summary

Key member of the EMEA Financial Control team responsible for month-end close, variance analysis and monthly cash flow reporting for Sophos Ltd. Overseeing accounting for UK, Ireland, Sweden and Romania, plus Dublin and Thailand Rep offices; coordinating statutory filings, audits, and local tax compliance across multiple entities, while maintaining strong controls and treasury processes.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage month-end close and submit month end accounts for UK, Ireland, Sweden and Romania for review and approval by the EMEA Financial Controller.
•Provide analysis for monthly/quarterly/annual variances to Plan/Forecast and justify significant variances.
•Own balance sheet reconciliations and prepare monthly information for review with the EMEA Financial Controller.
•Coordinate and prepare statutory reporting and lead the annual audits for Ireland, Sweden and Romania, plus Sophos Rep Offices in Dubai and Thailand.
•Coordinate detailed monthly cash flow forecasts and reporting for multiple entities, ensuring treasury policy is followed.

Key Requirements

•Understanding of the accounting practices and standards under IFRS and UK GAAP.
•Practical experience of all aspects of the month end and annual closing accounting.
•Accounting qualification- ACA, ACCA equivalent.
•Working with external auditors, tax advisors and local consultants.
•Experience with SAP and familiarity with corporation tax and VAT filing requirements for Ireland.
