Job Summary

Perform technical assignments related to constructing and maintaining natural gas pipeline systems, including selecting materials, developing procedures, ensuring code compliance, and inspecting work. Evaluate leakage survey effectiveness and support the design, monitoring, and analysis of pipeline operations such as regulation, measurement, curtailment, and loss/gain of natural gas. Conduct field investigations for right-of-way and permits, coordinate with Operations to complete projects, and produce specialized reports and studies.

Key Responsibilities

•Under close supervision, complete technical assignments involving construction and maintenance of natural gas pipeline systems, including material selection, procedure development, code compliance, and inspections.
•Evaluate leakage survey effectiveness.
•Assist in design, monitoring, and analysis of pipeline systems including regulation, measurement, curtailment, and loss or gain of natural gas.
•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, including design of mains, regulator and meter settings, and corrosion control.
•Conduct field investigations to acquire right of way, permits, and route evaluation, and assist in coordination between Engineering and Operations to complete projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
•Valid driver's license.
•Ability to communicate technical concepts with internal and/or external customers.
•Ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations and moderately complex statistical/accounting methods.
•Advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports, and graphics.
