Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform mechanical engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
  • •Develop and review mechanical calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, datasheets, and design documentation for material handling systems.
  • •Lead mechanical design of conveyor systems and related equipment, and review/approve mechanical layouts and detailed drawings.
  • •Ensure mechanical deliverables meet project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • •Support execution activities (procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning), provide technical support, conduct root cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •APEGA P.Eng. designation (other Canadian or USA professional engineering designations are an asset).
  • •10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in mining, aggregates, cement, industrial minerals, or bulk material handling projects.
  • •Strong experience with material handling systems, with significant conveyor engineering experience strongly preferred.
  • •Ability to travel to suppliers and project sites as required.
