Key Responsibilities

  • •Represent and champion customer needs within Fastly as the resident architect.
  • •Develop technical relationships to understand customer teams, infrastructure, plans, and issues.
  • •Implement Fastly products after sales (e.g., logging endpoints, image optimization, and VCL coding) and document configurations for troubleshooting.
  • •Investigate and recommend improvements to customers’ implementation and utilization of Fastly technology.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years pre-sales or post-sales experience in sales engineering, web development, customer-facing DevOps, technical account management, or solutions architecture.
  • •Hands-on willingness to work directly on customer issues and requests.
  • •Understanding of networking concepts including BGP, internet routing, and transit vs peering.
  • •Understanding of HTTP/s, TCP, TLS, DNS, HLS, DASH, load balancing, Apache, and NGINX.
  • •Hands-on experience with Linux and scripting/tools such as Python, Sed, Awk, Perl, JSON, Ruby, GO, and Node.js.
