Job Summary

Support network operations for DHS and specialized customers under NCPS initiatives in an onsite, hands-on environment. Perform fiber optic maintenance (installation, splicing, testing) across program networks, and provide technical support for routers, switches, servers, and firewalls. Troubleshoot faults, generate and respond to trouble tickets, monitor and configure Tier 12 events, and proactively develop and follow MOPs to minimize issues while delivering timely customer support.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform fiber maintenance, including installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cable across multiple program networks.
•Provide hands-on technical support for routers, switches, servers, and firewalls in data center and office environments.
•Conduct network troubleshooting and fault analysis, including hardware troubleshooting and repair.
•Develop and follow MOPs, anticipate problems, and take proactive corrective action.
•Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot Tier 12 events in switches, routers, and firewalls; generate and respond to trouble tickets and handle customer escalations.

•Must be willing to work shift work 24x7 coverage, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.

•Experience with application-level firewalls (proxies).
•Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain Top-Secret SCI (TSSCI).
