Build production-quality features for Autodesk Fusion, a CAD/CAM desktop application, within a Birmingham-based scrum team. Key Responsibilities

•Use AI-assisted tools for planning, implementation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, and documentation, validating output for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
•Design and implement scalable, maintainable features with object-oriented C++ and appropriate design patterns.
•Write, test, review, and maintain high-quality code across the full software development lifecycle, owning features through deployment and support.
•Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
•Develop and optimize production-grade CAD capabilities (parametric modelling, geometry, and design workflows) and collaborate with product, experience design, and QA to deliver Fusion features.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
•2+ years of professional software development experience.
•Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) with disciplined review and validation of generated code.
•Strong object-oriented programming in C++, including modern C++ practices and proficiency with the C++ Standard Library (STL).
•Working knowledge of CAD/CAM concepts, computational geometry, geometric modelling, or equivalent experience building geometry-heavy or mathematically intensive software.
