Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and optimize the ingestion pipeline from API through ClickHouse, improving throughput, latency, reliability, and cost.
  • •Make ClickHouse fast by designing schemas, optimizing merge strategies, tuning batch inserts, and writing/optimizing analytical queries for dashboards and UI.
  • •Build infrastructure-heavy backend features such as asynchronous post-processing (LLM-as-a-Judge), alerting at scale, and batch dataset operations.
  • •Run load tests with real production data to validate ClickHouse schema/migration/query optimizations before committing.
  • •Operate Langfuse across production environments and support self-hosting, including Docker Compose and enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong backend engineering background with excitement for database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems.
  • •Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
  • •Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (backend) and SQL.
  • •Ability to organize yourself and make strong engineering decisions on what to build and how to ship.
