Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake overhead line design activities including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, and sag-tension calculations.
  • •Support feasibility studies including conductor thermal ratings and assessment of technically preferred solutions/layouts for clients.
  • •Ensure projects meet safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • •Ensure adherence to AECOM and client design management processes.
  • •Support engineering deliverables including complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent), ideally electrical engineering or power engineering.
  • •Experience working on electrical design projects for transmission system operators such as National Grid, SSE, and SPT.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • •Ability to contribute to technically challenging OHL design and support activities in a Transmission & Distribution environment.
