Job Summary

Prospect, appraise, and present offers to current vehicle owners to purchase used cars for resale. Schedule and run appointments, use CRM for lead generation, and engage customers from service drives. Evaluate vehicles by asking questions, taking photos, and entering data into Sonic’s automated inventory system. Partner with Sales Managers to build offers, introduce customers to the sales team after purchase, and review monthly purchasing goals.

•Call, follow up, and schedule appointments for customers to appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
•Use CRM to prospect and generate leads, and engage vehicle owners from appointments and dealership service drive.
•Appraise vehicles by asking questions, taking photos, and entering vehicle data into Sonic’s automated inventory management system.
•Work with Sales Managers to build and propose purchase offers, then introduce guests to the sales department after purchase.
•Review monthly purchasing goals with management to improve time use and planning.

Key Requirements

•At least 2+ years working in a Used Car department or used buyer experience in a dealership (or procurement rental company).
•Honda or Acura brand experience is a plus.
•Luxury-level customer service and guest experience.
•Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
•Ability to use a computer and work with automotive systems; must be able to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report).
