Job Summary

Conduct critical testing and analysis of gas, crude oil, and petroleum products to support compliance with industry standards. Ensure safety and quality through OIMS and Data Integrity (DIAF) compliance, performing sampling and testing of process fluids and environmental samples. Manage laboratory stock and consumables, calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation, dispatch samples for external testing, and train operators on laboratory tests while maintaining accurate, detailed records.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform sampling and testing of process fluids and environmental samples for gas, crude oil, and petroleum products.
•Maintain compliance with OIMS and Safety Program requirements, including Data Integrity (DIAF) and understanding of QP&G.
•Develop knowledge of quality assurance based on established testing methods.
•Dispatch samples for external testing and manage stock control and ordering of laboratory consumables.
•Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, perform general lab maintenance, and train operators in laboratory tests.

•Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
•Competence using Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
•Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of chemistry, plus good math skills for calculations.

•Proven ability to manage sampling and testing, and to work accurately in detail.
