Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage procurement of all production and non-production items consumed in the plant to meet business objectives and ensure on-time delivery.
  • •Lead SCM strategic initiatives to manage material flow into, through, and out of the facility while minimizing inventory and logistics cost.
  • •Drive root-cause and continuous-improvement activities, supporting organizational development and improving MRP/ERP system usage, accuracy, compliance, and integration.
  • •Manage planning and inventory inputs and controls (SIOP, cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning; min/max levels and lead times) to meet plant/division/corporate expectations.
  • •Supervise the Materials Planning/Scheduling function, coordinate lean workload/metrics support, partner with purchasing and MRO suppliers, and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (APICS certification and/or a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred).
  • •At least 7 years of experience in a closely related industry.
  • •Strong computer systems/ERP knowledge, including SAP, MAPICS, and JD Edwards.
  • •Knowledge of MRP/ERP rules and ability to drive improvements in system usage, accuracy, compliance, and manufacturing integration.
  • •90% minimum English proficiency, with a thorough understanding of world-class material management techniques and U.S./Mexican business practices.
