Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and maintain electric services and metering equipment, including work on energized services up to 600 volts.
  • •Erect and climb ladders daily and read electric meters on walking or driving routes, recording accurate meter use.
  • •Set, remove, reconnect, disconnect, and maintain single-phase and three-phase self-contained meters; reprogram meters and verify meter equipment and installations.
  • •Install volt recorders, support scheduling with customers, contractors, and inspectors, and coordinate work with other departments.
  • •Assist with stock inventory, operate company two-way radios, maintain assignment records, perform credit and collection, and respond to emergencies and assigned overtime.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 31.3 - 36.62 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Be available to work assigned overtime and respond to emergency assignments.
  • •Maintain safe driving and demonstrate correct ladder use, care, and placement.
  • •Have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable local ordinances for installing meters and service entrances.
  • •Demonstrate ability to use tools, equipment, and instruments of the trade, and know job safety instructions.
  • •Reside within 45 minutes of the regular reporting location or be willing to relocate within nine months of transfer and be available for emergency assignments.
