Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform day-to-day Water Treatment Operator tasks, including daily operations, inspections, equipment monitoring, and preventative maintenance.
  • •Monitor water and waste treatment control systems and recording devices, and conduct daily lab testing of water treatment effluent for process control.
  • •Assist with adjusting water treatment effluent process control to stay within discharge limits.
  • •Conduct daily operational maintenance of plant water softeners and complete and organize daily records and paperwork.
  • •Load and move by-product trailers and tankers, act as the daily point of contact for deliveries and pickups, and complete bill of lading and security seal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •1-2 years’ experience operating and maintaining water treatment plants and related ancillary/auxiliary equipment and distribution systems.
  • •Must possess or obtain within 12 months of employment a Water Treatment Operator Certification.
  • •Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to communicate effectively, including with technical personnel over the phone.
  • •Knowledge of maintenance and water treatment terminology used within the department.
  • •Valid driver’s license; experience driving a tractor/trailer or yard truck preferred.
