Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and train models that forecast a member’s next health state from irregularly sampled longitudinal histories with calibrated uncertainty.
  • •Develop multimodal health-state encoders that fuse medical data and remain robust to missing modalities, transferring effectively to downstream clinical tasks.
  • •Build and maintain first-class evaluation frameworks including validation sets, confidence intervals, forecasting metrics, and benchmark registration.
  • •Own the end-to-end training and evaluation codebase, including data loaders, distributed GPU training, experiment tracking, and versioned model releases.
  • •Deliver pretrained encoders and forecasters to product-track teams and support integration through clinical validation and hand-off to engineering and product development.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in machine learning, computer science, biomedical engineering or related field with 1-2+ years of professional experience, or MS/BS with 5+ years building and evaluating ML models on real data.
  • •Demonstrated depth in at least one area such as temporal/longitudinal modeling (sequence models, neural ODE/CDE, state-space models, forecasting with irregular sampling), foundation-model pretraining on medical imaging, or multimodal fusion of imaging with tabular/EHR/biomarker data.
  • •Strong Python and PyTorch experience, including training at scale (multi-GPU, large datasets) and experiment tracking.
  • •Rigorous evaluation instincts including calibration, error analysis, and understanding how results hold up on larger validation sets.
  • •Publication record at top ML or medical-imaging venues, plus clear written and verbal communication with technical and clinical audiences.
