Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform concrete testing and monitor quality of ready-mixed concrete, including ASTM plastic tests (slump, air, unit weight, temperature, yield).
  • •Maintain concrete test results and statistical data for standard mixes, and draft reports to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • •Cast concrete test specimens, perform hardened concrete testing, and enter results into quality control software.
  • •Maintain equipment in operational condition and ensure correct calibration.
  • •Coordinate with the operations team and interact with customers regarding concrete delivery and technical onsite corrective action.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, with one to two years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination).
  • •Perform concrete tests and procedures per applicable ASTM standards and understand quality control objectives.
  • •Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and able to use database and quality control software; communicate effectively.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and remedy quality control issues and perform routine laboratory testing.
  • •Preferred: ACI Field Testing Technician Level I and other listed testing certifications; must obtain certifications within 12 months in the position.
