Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely and efficiently deliver equipment, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Coordinate loading and unloading, maneuvering trucks and trailers into areas and following loading crew signals; unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation upon completing routes.
  • •Facilitate routine vehicle service (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight to be operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations.
  • •Pass a DOT physical, since trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Provide professional, courteous customer service and communicate effectively with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
