Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage full lifecycle development for storage assets, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of drilling, well completion, and surface facility construction.
  • •Coordinate cross-functional teams (subsurface engineering, pipeline operations, business development/commercial, regulatory, and legal) from concept through commercial operation.
  • •Oversee project design criteria and optimize compression, dehydration, measurement, and piping infrastructure to maximize working gas capacity expansion performance.
  • •Evaluate site suitability with geologists and reservoir engineers, determine base gas and working gas inventory needs, and monitor downhole performance and integrity to mitigate operational risks.
  • •Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulatory frameworks and support regulatory filings, environmental assessments, and permit applications, while developing scope, schedules, and CAPEX estimates for economic optimization.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related geoscience/engineering discipline.
  • •5–8 years of experience in oil and gas midstream, reservoir engineering, or underground gas storage operations (or 8–15+ years managing subsurface projects).
  • •Deep understanding of underground storage types (salt caverns vs. depleted reservoirs), well design, and surface compression systems.
  • •Familiarity with industry integrity management and diagnostic techniques such as noise/temperature logs, caliper logs, and casing inspections.
  • •Proficiency with engineering simulation and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera), plus maintaining a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
