Job Summary

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment including cranes, scrapers, paving machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, vehicles, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools. Perform preventative maintenance, change oil and lubricants, replace parts, and complete work orders. Record work and parts used in a CMMS, maintain safe work practices, and comply with security and safety regulations. Interface with customers and supervisory personnel while supporting timely, efficient maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

•Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy equipment problems and perform corrective repairs.
•Make repairs and secure necessary parts to complete maintenance efficiently and timely.
•Perform preventative maintenance, including changing oil and lubricants and replacing parts per schedules.
•Complete and release work orders and record work performed and parts used in a CMMS.
•Comply with security and safety regulations, maintain housekeeping, and interface with customers and supervisory personnel.

Key Requirements

•Associates degree and 3 years of experience, or 5 years of equivalent experience without a degree.
•Ability to pass a background investigation and be granted access/clearance to Marshall Space Flight Center, and pass a drug test.
•U.S. citizenship required and ability to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
•Valid REAL ID state driver’s license and a valid CDL.
•Ability to drive a company vehicle and meet physical requirements (including lifting/carrying 40 pounds for short distances).
