Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee input, peer review, verification of geotechnical data and analyses, and geotechnical design calculations.
  • •Provide consultative advice to partners across the project lifecycle, including site-selection and optioneering, design, and construction.
  • •Manage or oversee geotechnical projects, including planning and developing schedules, coordination, and meeting programme and budget objectives.
  • •Lead and support the Ground Engineering team to deliver projects to time and quality expectations, including mentoring junior team members.
  • •Maintain industry presence and build customer relationships to support a pipeline, and provide Ground Engineering leadership for multidisciplinary project delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology (2:1 or equivalent) or higher.
  • •MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (advantageous).
  • •Chartered status.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices for geotechnical design.
