Key Responsibilities

  • •Float to all hatchery departments as needed based on production requirements.
  • •Fill in departments as needed; duties may change daily with or without notice.
  • •Work assigned days based on the weekly schedule posted, with Thursday scheduling for the weekly plan.
  • •Perform tasks in departments including Egg Room, Embrex, Chick Processing, Sanitation, Pull Crew, and Biosecurity/Animal Welfare.
  • •Follow applicable safety policies and procedures, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock Out Tag out, and PPE requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.

  • •Willing to follow biosecurity/animal welfare requirements, including showering and changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility.
  • •No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except medical ID jewelry and covered piercings; must be willing to sign agreements related to avoiding avian species.
  • •Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs and push/pull 1000–1500 lbs, and perform duties in varied hot/cold and wet/slippery environments.
