Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in physical site surveys to validate power, space, cooling (HVAC), and connectivity requirements for equipment deployments.
  • •Analyze existing network infrastructure and determine upgrade requirements for fiber/copper cabling, patch panels, and conduit.
  • •Develop Site Survey Reports and Installation Design Plans with floor plans, rack elevation diagrams, and power calculations.
  • •Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and associated software/firmware, including OS baselining and burn-in testing.
  • •Create engineering drawings (Visio/AutoCAD) and provide After Action Reports and daily status updates while ensuring compliance with safety and installation access procedures.

Salary: USD 74,700 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering with at least 5 years of hardware/software integration and structured cabling experience.
  • •Proven experience conducting site surveys for DoD or Federal Government environments.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creating network diagrams and rack elevations.
  • •Strong understanding of power requirements, UPS sizing, and BTU calculations.
  • •Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards (single-mode, multi-mode, CAT6).
