Job Summary

Design, implement, and improve secure, scalable data products and pipelines in Visa’s fintech environment. You’ll translate functional requirements into component architecture, write and review extensible code, build automation and CI/CD workflows, and ensure data quality through governance, testing, and observability. Collaborate across product, design, data science, QA, operations, and compliance while applying secure coding and regulatory best practices.

•Partner with stakeholders to identify and clarify requirements and determine business needs.
•Understand data ecosystems and security, privacy, and retention requirements to support business and product features.
•Translate functional requirements into architecture designs and communicate patterns to Data Engineers.
•Build and maintain data pipelines and data products with end-to-end ownership, including technical debt mitigation and bug/error documentation.
•Create automation and monitoring practices, write and run queries across pipelines, perform required testing, and troubleshoot advanced problems.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD; OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
•Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and large-scale data processing jobs.
•Experience writing and reviewing high-quality, testable, efficient code.
•Experience developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with an automation focus.
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications using containerization and orchestration tools.
