Key Responsibilities

  • •Advance foundation models on structured data and explore world models to solve business problems.
  • •Gain insights by integrating semantic context with large-scale business data.
  • •Enable academic research by defining Business AI-relevant problem statements, frameworks, and data sets.
  • •Track and compare novel research findings with internal work.
  • •Collaborate with the SAP-RPT-1 team, align initiatives with community best practices, and supervise PhD students in academic collaborations or summer internships.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, physics, mathematics, or a relevant discipline.
  • •Academic background in Foundation Models/Machine Learning on large-scale structured data or World Models, supported by publications at top-tier scientific conferences.
  • •Extensive research experience with machine learning on structured data, including how it translates to developing foundation models on structured data.
  • •Ideally, experience in Causal AI and its relationship to foundation models on structured data.
  • •Proficiency in Python with strong hands-on experience using ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (or similar).
