Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Plant Manager in maintaining inventory levels to keep turns and inventory dollars to sales dollars within guidelines.
  • •Monitor inventory levels and conditions to ensure necessary raw material is available.
  • •Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and managing plant purchasing programs, including determining inventory needs and buying options.
  • •Manage aged inventory and develop “hit lists” to alert Production and Sales of potential inventory problems.
  • •Initiate and follow up on purchase orders, track inbound products, resolve receiving claims, and reconcile offsite inventory quarterly.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferred bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • •Minimum two years managing inventory or experience in manufacturing.
  • •Working knowledge of panel and lumber grades, lumber math, cuts and yields.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • •Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and improve processes.
