Job Summary

Own a client portfolio for healthcare RCM denial management and revenue recovery, managing the billing team’s staffing, escalations, production, and quality targets. Serve as a trusted RCM advisor to clients using A/R, denial trends, and payer behavior insights. Lead and coach Team Leads through consistent 1-on-1s and performance conversations, while collaborating with peer Billing Managers to build best practices and drive efficiencies across RCM Ops.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and manage a portfolio of client accounts sized by complexity.
•Staff and restaff accounts with the right mix of billers and specialists as the book of business changes.
•Set and track production and quality targets; run regular production/quality reviews with Team Leads.
•Act as escalation point above Team Leads for claim, staffing, and client issues.
•Coach and develop Team Leads through 1-on-1s and performance conversations, including handling terminations.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of leadership experience, including meaningful time directly managing billing or RCM teams in healthcare RCM.
•Deep RCM domain knowledge in denial management, A/R aging, payer behavior, and reimbursement trends.
•Experience staffing and scaling a team to match a changing book of business.
•Experience managing offshore teams, including performance management across geographies.
•Experience leading PM systems (ModMed, NextGen, Athenahealth, or similar) and payer portals.
