Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for GCU Police, guards, dispatch, RTOC operators, and BTAM staff, including system access.
  • •Administer and maintain public safety technology platforms (CAD/CYRUN, Axon FUSUS, panic alerting, LPR, surveillance/VMS, secure evidence/records, and Symplicity Advocate).
  • •Support encrypted radio systems and secure networking (VPN and infrastructure), coordinating with IT Security and radio/network vendors on configuration, patching, and interoperability.
  • •Lead threat assessment monitoring and compliance systems and support BTAM workflows, including building/testing threat monitoring and information-sharing (BOLO/mass notification) capabilities under the TVTP grant.
  • •Monitor uptime/performance/licensing, coordinate installation/configuration/testing/deployment of new hardware/software, maintain documentation/SOPs, provide end-user training, and support vendor management and audit preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support, systems administration, network support, or related technical work.
  • •Working knowledge of, or strong aptitude to quickly learn, public safety technology such as CAD systems, radio networks, video surveillance platforms, and case management systems.
  • •Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Windows, Active Directory, Office 365) and network/systems fundamentals (VPN, security best practices).
  • •Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Must have a valid and current Arizona Driver's License and be able to obtain/maintain CJIS security clearance after passing a background investigation (including fingerprinting).
