Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop piping systems and components and review piping layout drawings, including isometrics and bill of materials, for compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • •Prepare detailed engineering deliverables such as pipe wall thickness calculations, branch charts, line blanks, and piping/material specifications (including valves and piping specialties).
  • •Manage vendor evaluation activities by assessing vendor offers against RFQs, preparing technical evaluation and commercial comparison, and producing technical bid study reports.
  • •Develop inspection and testing plans (ITPs) for tanks and vessels, including hydrostatic and non-destructive testing (NDT), and support interfacing across engineering and construction groups.
  • •Coordinate work to meet schedule/budget needs, provide progress and risk updates to the lead engineer or project manager, and embed Health & Safety practices into all work.

Key Requirements

  • •13-17 years of piping design experience in static and rotary equipment engineering, including work in an EPCM environment.
  • •In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards, especially ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8.
  • •Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s preferred); PG diploma/certificate in piping engineering is an asset.
  • •Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills with attention to detail and ability to work in a LEAN environment.
  • •Experience in projects in Australia and New Zealand is an advantage; C. Eng and/or P. Eng qualification is an added advantage.
