Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and own end-to-end backend services and shared infrastructure components in C#/.NET that power Payoneer’s global platform.
  • •Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS or Azure, including containerized workloads, serverless functions, messaging, and observability.
  • •Design data models and high-performance access layers across relational and NoSQL stores, including schema design and scaling.
  • •Integrate AI capabilities into platform tooling and services, including LLM-powered productivity, embedding-based search, RAG patterns, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • •Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, performance tuning, and production readiness, while mentoring engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional backend development with strong proficiency in C# and .NET in strictly typed environments.
  • •Experience building and integrating cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, including hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
  • •Experience with both SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase), including schema design and query optimization.
  • •Strong understanding of API design, security, distributed systems patterns (microservices, asynchronous messaging, caching, resiliency, REST).
  • •Hands-on experience developing AI-based products/features, including LLMs, AI APIs, embeddings/RAG, or AI coding assistants.
