Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle accounting-related activities for La Porte Plant Manufacturing I&D units, including month-end close and reporting.
  • •Perform cost and profitability analysis, providing key insights on historical and forward-looking trends.
  • •Guide budgeting, site forecasting, and LRP functions, including monthly cost reviews and benchmark data collection/analysis.
  • •Coordinate internal controls and SOx compliance, including cost classification, contract review, and inventory observations (physical and PPE).
  • •Support audits and major site projects, including turnaround audit support and related ad-hoc functions for site support organizations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field.
  • •Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial or manufacturing accounting.
  • •ERP and data retrieval/analysis experience, preferably with SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • •Highly self-sufficient with strong analytics skills to support decision-making and act as a resource to other manufacturing accountants.
  • •Ability to prioritize, solve problems, multitask, meet deadlines, and self-review work for accuracy in a dynamic environment.
