Key Responsibilities

•Lead the cloud cost optimization strategy across GCP, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure
•Analyze compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising performance or reliability
•Build and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and automated reporting that provide real-time visibility into cost drivers and trends across teams and services
•Develop tagging/labeling standards, budgeting processes, and governance policies to enable cross-organizational accountability
•Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product to guide workload placement, architecture decisions, and scaling strategies

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles with a strong focus on cost optimization
•Hands-on experience with GCP (priority) and AWS; strong understanding of cloud pricing models, resource types, and cost management tooling
•Deep knowledge of Kubernetes resource allocation, autoscaling, workload placement, and cost attribution in distributed environments
•Proficiency with cloud cost tools (GCP Billing exports, BigQuery, AWS CUR, 3rd party cost monitoring tools (Kubecost, CloudHealth), cost monitoring features in observability tools, custom dashboards, etc.)
•Strong analytical and data-engineering skills, able to build dashboards, SQL-based pipelines, and forecasting models
