Key Responsibilities

•Domain Architecture & Technical Direction: Own the end-to-end Finance data architecture from ingestion to reporting mart with clear data lineage at every layer.
•Financial Reporting & Audit Readiness: Partner with Accounting, Finance PMO, and Treasury to deliver datasets for month-end close, statutory reporting, and board-level financials with full traceability.
•Data Quality & Controls: Design proactive data quality frameworks, reconciliation logic, SLA monitoring, and post-mortems for finance-critical pipelines.
•AI-Native Finance Data: Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering, including LLM tooling, automated anomaly detection, and AI-generated reporting summaries.
•Technical Leadership & Influence: Be the go-to escalation point for Finance data domain questions and mentor engineers while representing Finance Data in cross-team discussions.

Key Requirements

•6+ years in data engineering, with at least 3 years owning a Finance, Accounting, or financial reporting data domain end-to-end
•Deep understanding of financial data fundamentals: period close and cut-off rules, revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, reconciliation, and audit trail requirements
•Proven ability to build finance data systems reviewed by auditors/regulators in a regulated environment
•Strong SQL and Python; experience designing and maintaining complex production pipelines at scale
•Experience designing for immutability and lineage with traceability for financial data
