Key Responsibilities

  • •Work from prints, method sheets, operation sheets, specification sheets, sketches, and/or verbal instructions to produce parts meeting quality and quantity standards.
  • •Set up and operate small lathes and other machining equipment (including drill presses, lapping machines, and pneumatic/hydraulic presses).
  • •Perform hydraulic tests on parts and assemblies as specified and complete secondary machining operations (turning, boring, chamfering, counterboring) and assembly work.
  • •Prepare components (including sandblasting) and perform spot welding machine setup by others.
  • •Use measurement/inspection instruments, machine fixtures/jaws/plugs, change/reset tooling as needed, and report faulty operation, defects, or unusual conditions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • •Previous experience working in a production, assembly, or related position in a manufacturing facility.
  • •Ability to work from prints, method sheets, operation/specification sheets, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • •Ability to use measurement/inspection tools such as micrometers and Vernier’s and perform checks after first-piece inspection.
  • •Ability to set up and operate machining equipment and perform machining and assembly tasks to acceptable quality/quantity levels.
