Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement duties for the appointed health and safety function, including onboarding & training, reporting, incident investigation, and coordinating Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments (T/HIRA).
  • •Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance on program health and safety matters.
  • •Collaborate with contractors to confirm that measures in the site-specific safety plan are effectively implemented.
  • •Undertake periodic assessments/audits, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • •Provide management-level reporting, identify key risks/issues for escalation, and coach/mentor staff to support career development.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
  • •Typically 7+ years of professional experience in an on-site health and safety role, including inspection, coordination, onboarding/training, and reporting.
  • •Experience developing and implementing health and safety management plans.
  • •Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort working with owners, consultants, and contractors.
  • •Diploma/certificate in health and safety and/or equivalent training experience.
