Job Summary

Lead regional Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal regulations and corporate requirements. Collaborate with site EHS and Process Safety Management (PSM) staff to support and verify management systems (ISO, PSM, EMS, SIPS), analyze internal metrics, and guide action planning. Manage audits, incident reporting, permits, training implementation, claims support, and coaching for EHS teams across facilities, with significant travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist facility EHS teams in maintaining a safe working environment and ensure consistent implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, including reviewing and revising SOPs and control plans.
•Support environmental management and efficiency initiatives such as water, energy, waste, and food loss reviews, including project scope documentation, project management, completion documentation, and reporting.
•Ensure safety compliance with federal regulations and corporate requirements (SIPS, PSM, EMS) and ensure required permits are submitted on time.
•Lead incident reporting and response by reporting incidents (regulatory visits, fire, significant property damage, chemical spills/releases, EMS visits, threats) to the EHS Operations Director.
•Lead corporate audit teams, ensure facilities are prepared for internal/external audits, close out open audit findings, support claim cost management and case management reviews, and assure required training is up to date.

Travel: High travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 162,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety (or related) plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership.
•Ability to make strategic decisions in stressful situations, including leading emergency response efforts.
•Willingness to collaborate through travel to other locations about 75% of the time depending on the initiative.
•Excellent knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes.
