Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide reliable, cost-effective, and timely legal counsel to business units across North America matters.
  • •Serve as primary advisor on employment matters, including investigations, demand letters, agency matters, terminations, reductions in force, and policy-related issues.
  • •Oversee North America litigation and claims across risk areas including commercial disputes, general liability, personal injury, asset recovery, and IP/trade secret disputes.
  • •Manage outside counsel by setting scope, strategy, budgets, staffing, and monitoring outcomes.
  • •Advise on dispute prevention and early resolution, including settlement strategy and risk escalation, and support matter-management processes like legal holds and subpoenas.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or Canada jurisdiction.
  • •Bachelor's Degree and qualification from an accredited law school.
  • •Strong required expertise in employment law and litigation/dispute strategy.
  • •Experience managing outside counsel and complex disputes.
  • •At least 8+ years post-qualification experience.
