Key Responsibilities

  • •Review incoming tooling requests from Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Working Leaders, and Inspection for manufacture, alteration, and repair of durable tooling.
  • •Work with customers to understand tasks and create SAP notifications and PM orders with cost and scheduled delivery estimates.
  • •Coordinate suppliers for qualified durable tooling, and work with buyers to procure quotes and manage supplier activities.
  • •Set up repairs/alterations, new makes, and rejects through SAP; order raw material and standard components to support in-house fabrication.
  • •Manage SAP reports daily with routine status updates, highlight missed delivery/quality concerns, and resolve technical issues through manufacture, design, inspection, and tool try-out.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environments (or an Associate's degree with 7+ years; or high school/GED with 9+ years in lieu of a degree).
  • •Ability to read and understand tooling blueprints.
  • •Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • •Demonstrated proficiency with tooling fixtures and gauging (gauging is a plus).
  • •Knowledge of tooling fixtures/tooling environments, including repair/alteration and inspection support.
