Key Responsibilities

  • •Define requirements for propulsion system components used in vehicle cryogenic fuel, oxidizer, bi-prop, mono-prop, pneumatic, hydraulic, or pyrotechnic systems.
  • •Support the functional and physical interface definitions and coordination between propulsion components.
  • •Design propulsion components to meet subsystem design and performance criteria, including rationale for technical decisions and support for qualification/certification testing.
  • •Lead or support engineering activities during hazardous and non-hazardous refurbishment, integration, and test (RIT), launch, and recovery operations.
  • •Evaluate fielded components for reliability/airworthiness and lead or support propulsion risk/issue identification, mitigation planning, and supplier/document reviews (e.g., SSOW, SRR/design/acceptance/test readiness reviews).

Key Requirements
