Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot the manufacturing plant’s refrigeration system, including ammonia compressors, boilers, air compressors, hot water systems, and related controls. Perform daily preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs while following ammonia safety procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA requirements, support emergency response as a team member, and complete technical documentation and instructions reliably. Work a rotating 6:00am–6:00pm schedule in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant refrigeration system, boiler system, air compressors, and hot water system.
•Perform daily preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs for refrigeration and related components.
•Maintain and repair HOWDEN, SULLAIR, and MYCOM ammonia compressors, condensers, valve stations, and associated equipment.
•Maintain required operating temperatures to meet food industry standards.
•Participate as an Emergency Response Team member and follow written and verbal procedures while completing technical/specification writing.

Key Requirements

•1 year of industrial maintenance with electrical training and 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or HVAC operator experience.
•PSM experience.

•Ability to obtain SCBA certification and use fully encapsulated chemical suit in emergency.
•Ability to pass IIAR Training modules for ammonia refrigeration and be familiar with preventative maintenance programs.
